One of the most common questions our clients ask us during our free initial web design consultation is, “How much does a website cost?” The problem is there is no simple answer to this question. Asking, “How much does a website cost?” is similar to asking how much a car, boat or house costs. Depending upon the level of development required, design pricing will vary.
Over the course of dealing with countless small-medium NJ business owners, we realized that many clients needed websites with similar features and requirements. We worked hard to develop website packages that, based on experience, fit many small-medium sized businesses’ needs. Don’t worry if your web design needs fall outside of this package; we love working with clients to develop custom quotes that fit their budgets and needs.
Aspects of Website Cost
We can’t speak for other NJ web design companies, but when it comes to pricing our custom quote websites, we base our numbers on two factors:
Features and Functionality
Any feature or functionality you see across the web can be incorporated into your website. Anything is possible: the true question is, “How much time and money do you want spend doing it?” If your current web company tells you that a feature can’t be added, but you have seen it in place on another website, fire them immediately. This is a hallmark of an inexperienced developer.
From time to time, we may advise you against certain features. For example:
- An outdated or bad practice (ex. Flash Based Designs, Non-Mobile Responsive Feature)
- Outside of client proposed budget constraints
We really take our time to review every single aspect of your website project before giving you a custom quote. We have developed numerous custom websites across multiple industries throughout New Jersey and parts of the United States. Each of these sites has had different parameters, functionality requirements, and budgetary constraints. We pride ourselves on our ability to accurately estimate the requirements and hours required to successfully build a website.
